Lake Shawnee Abandon Amusement Park is located just 30 minutes for us. For an interesting, scary, history tour this is a great place to go. Call ahead and you can get a private tour of the park and learn about all the history of this piece of property. Indian burial grounds, early pioneer settlers, park visitors found out about all their stories. This amusement park has been featured in several paranormal TV shows. We were lucky enough to be able to go down and participate around Halloween and get to walk their Dark Carnival, a haunted maze and the nighttime history tour. We had a great time and quick, open fire, grilled burger and hot dog before we left.
